my guess would be that your progress is tied to the android account and not to the game installation. as long as you started the game that way. when i launched the game on another android device (emulator) it gave me the option of loading my progress of lvl 43 with 321 greenys or lvl 1 with 4 and 1700 coin...

Following up on my Android game not loading. It was easier than ever; uninstalled the game, then installed. As soon as it loaded I had the option to continue where I left off. Didn't need to play any levels. All neighbours retained, nothing lost.
