Android Weekend codes how do they work

Hi,
I've tried two different weekends putting the code in the redeem box where you also can put a friend's code, but nothing happened. I signed up here just in case that was the problem but no luck. Not sure what I'm missing, thanks in advance for help. Also, I tried with and without the asterisks, and different cases.

It's always in form of asterisk-word-number404-asterisk. No spaces, no other chars.

@Agent_L yes, Im pretty sure, I tried many times. Is it only good on certain date? The day it's posted perhaps? I tried the day after. Should it be valid today?
I play only one game, btw. Wouldn't know how to do more than that.

No it will not work today - It is usually posted on Friday and works through Sunday. Sometimes I have been fortunate and it worked on Monday but never any later than that.
