It could be worse. You could be holding short #4 for TO on a hot sunny day in a Cessna with no air conditioning, with a lot of traffic in the pattern already.

I can tell you from experience, for the first 6 months there’s a feeling in the pit of your stomach every time you turn into the ATC compound and you wonder to yourself, “What the hell am I doing here?🥴”. Having said that, it’s the best job in the world! I did it for nearly 20 years and I’ve been out for nearly 5 and I miss it regularly 🙃.
