I was going to ask the same thing. I received it on my 2 windows games but not on my android game. My first offer was 10,200 for $2.99, then 34,000 for $2.99. They made it sound so urgent! LAST CHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

The why is pretty simple, IMHO. They're trying to generate revenue.

I hope they enticed a few new players to pay some money to keep the company running.
On a similar note I often wonder how many people buy the special event buildings that help you finish the event. The "miracle mill" for 30GBP that produces the mugs for this event is not cheap!

I've wondered what those special event buildings do after the event is over. Just give coins? Hardly worth it, as the events are generally so easy to complete.
