Android Vintage Weathervane

Today I experimented with the Vintage Weatervane bonus.
Odd things I got as results:
5 planes flew to the same destination in around 2 minutes time.
3 got a time reduced 2 didn't.
At that time I said, ok not bad at least 3 got it and better than nothing...

A few hours later I sent a plane to Brasilia, seems just before the card expired.
Normal flying time is 8:40. The result is now that this flight takes 11:40!

The issue has been reported and once I got feedback I'll put the repy also here.

As promissed the reply I got after sending a screenshout with the proof that fly time was even longer than the initial time (even that was not easy as in the meantime we were hours later and not just waiting on a reply but progressing in the game):

You can use the Vintage Weathervane both before and after a plane’s departure. Note that it decreases the remaining flight time and not the total time in the air. You can get this bonus for completing the Figures and Figurines collection or purchase it for 8 Airport Cash in Duke Crooker's Airship Store.

Why I ever reported it, I dont know as with these replies the only result I have is that you being treated like a fool.

And as I tried it again the reply is even wrong.
The flight time of the flights that are already going on isn't changed when you active the card.
I had only shorter flying times for new flights.

I'm using that bonus often recetly and it works fine. What I noticed thet with jetpack bonus in combo sometimes some of my plains dont have the benefit of jetpack bonus ( shoud work as automatic fuel catalyst).
Appology for typos - forum os not so ftiendly to phones - cant jump to specific word to correct it.

I used together with the Sky Captain.
What I did when using it again was making sure that I restart the game when the time is over.

Very pitty But on the other hand I must say I'm also pleased as sometimes I got the feeling that they just don't believe me if I post something. And therefor not putting anything new anymore on it.

Since I had it before, I'm always restarting the game when the card is finished. It is the only safe way.

Yeah, I'm not impressed with their support team... Sadly I'm learning to take a picture of *everything*. Especially just before I exit the game since I've been hit by the crash-reset bug since this last iOS update. (Really hoping the upcoming tech release fixes that one.)

I'm postponing the update from this weekend.
To many upgrades are running and don't want any mess with it.
Unfortunately I can't manage to get the screenshot app working
And I don't to take any risk either. Going back once (but luckely escaped from that one) made me think also.
May be I should do it like you. Start another game on another platform (PC) to have at least that possibility.

Well, GI closed the ticket. Apparently this is not a problem...

"The weathervane bonus was carefully checked and no errors were found. Please note that the time indicator does not change, but the plane arrives faster. The flights I can see on the attached screenshots are not influenced by the weathervane."

Was exactly the same for me.
Even you've sent them a screenshot that clearly shows flight time longer than the maximum.
And no matter what they say, the flight does take exactly that 11 hours.
But it is still a good card to use. Just be carefull. Also compared with what others wrote about it, it does start only for new flights and even if you can sent them out just a minute before the time stops, it does take the less time. It is really a matter of planning.
And do restart once it is over. For sure you'll do this from now on.

Successfully made them reopen the ticket. They are now inquiring about the exact steps I used to produce this. So, sounds like they *might* be on the verge of admitting that there is a problem.

Furthermore, if your weathervane expires while the game is shut down, you still have to open the game, and then restart it to get proper flight times... Now waiting for 12 hours for a 9 hour flight to Oslo...
