The stone castles are the easiest way in my opinion.  I think I have 300 of them right now plus the 36 passengers every hour really helps fill the terminal for excavation and QL map destinations.  That leaves your neighbor visits to get other things

Nice thing is you can add them slowly and use the weekly bonus code here if you're not into spending real money for greenies.
