Server version

So, I have just bought a new laptop, and knowing how much memory the games used on the old one, I thought I would try something new. I loaded the game via the trial server version, and reopened my old laptop on the server version. Since then I have played the game, for almost a week exclusively on the server version. I have a couple of questions for players who may have done similar:-

1) Can i continue playing exclusively on the server version without ever touching my old laptop and the downloaded game again?
2) Are there any drawbacks or issues or concerns anyone has found with the server version?
3) I am likely to wipe my old laptop and bin it, I assume the server version has no reliance on a downloaded version somewhere?
4) Anything else I may not have thought of?

Really appreciate your thoughts and wisdom as this feels a brave new world for me!

I am playing on one of my accounts in the trail server i found it same windows fast its awesome the only thing i found is when i search for items to send as gift.
When i want to send VR its not showing i have to roll down then i click on VR to send .... maximum i search is when i add Reader its show up the same in the warehouse i think.
Everything work fine and great i like it and i am thinking maybe i transfer some of Husam accounts later this year.

Yes, the server game is completely independent of the downloaded version (of your old device), the server game is equal to having a new device and transferring your progress completely to the other device.

2) Are there any drawbacks or issues or concerns anyone has found with the server version?

As far as I know, the progress takes time to get saved, it has become same for all versions (Android, Windows, Amazon, IOS, etc), unless GI rectifies, we need to stay in game for approximately 2-5 minutes without action to get progress saved

3) I am likely to wipe my old laptop and bin it, I assume the server version has no reliance on a downloaded version somewhere?

Just make sure you choose the correct server version in case of a conflict of versions, if wrong one is chosen, it is very hard to retrieve until GI support answers.

Hi - i found that but it is case sensitive. If you have Capitals it needs you to search them so vr finds nothing, VR finds it. For earplugs, you have to search Ea . . . Also it lists your nieghbours firstly a-z all those starting with a capital letter, then a-z those with lower case. Also within each letter, it goes capitals first so HUS would come before Has as it is all capitals and if your game was husam it would come in the second a-z list!. Once you get your head around that, it works.

I know all what you say but what i mean is this if i want to send VR i add the V in the search then i click on send after that i choose the neighbors who i want to send but as you see in the screenshot below i add V or if i add VR what is show in Windows or Android you can find the so this is a bug in trail.

Its because you typed v not V with V it should work, it did for me.
