I expect Tom greensmith will get the silimar message that I received- i.e. they have blocked his game due to him changing time settings/ time travelling. I very much doubt that he has, (as I didn't), and he is getting penalised for receiving extra greenies when you purchase them due to a glitch in their game programming. Their customer service sucks and they won't budge, (at least they won't with me), and unblock the game.

Since my tomgreensmith iPhone game is successfully sending gifts to my Waverly huff iPad game, GI is not blocking tomgreensmith, in general, from sending gifts.
One explanation is that GI is specifically blocking flip123, Pakman, Simp1710 and Happy Helen from receiving gifts from tomgreensmith. But why would they do that? How is that hurting tomgreensmith? It's not ... because tomgreensmith is still receiving gifts from all of you. There's just no punishment here for me.
I honestly believe that this is just another bug in a very buggy game. I'm not going to bother complaining to GI because their so-called support is totally ineffectual.
My tomgreensmith game only has 21 neighbors so I will continue to send you all gifts, figuring that eventually -- hopefully -- you will receive them.

Tom, considering we are noticing a problem receiving gifts from your new game, please can you confirm you have received them from both my games? I have sent a DND sign and bracelet in the last couple hrs.
Makes you wonder if they are viewing these threads doesn't it! Thankfully I have only noticed a problem on neighbour visits with only one or two visits being recorded per neighbour

Not sure if they are trying to penalise the sender or receiver with this gifting bug... I just hope everyone is receiving gifts from me? Today's exports from my 1710 game are:

I truly believe it is just bad code and is out of their control at the moment. Remember how long it took them to fix the username issue. I also think that any emails to Pakman and others blaming "illegal behavior" for game problems are a bunch of crap. There was NO "illegal behavior." They don't know what's causing the bug so they blame the users; it's the easy way out for them. I don't think there's a GI conspiracy against us because I don't think they are that smart. They have 15 games listed in the iOS App Store and tens of thousands of users. The thought that they would spend time and energy looking for ways to screw us up is, in my humble opinion, just plain wrong.

True, I hope this is the case. I just don't understand why they have the ability to unblock games (like Az1) but choose not to and blame it on illegal play... Then again, as per your thoughts, is it just an excuse for a series of bugs they don't seem to be able to fix and Az's game was a fluke or a different issue altogether?
Who knows... Just a shame they can't spend some more of the £££'s they make on more 'bug fixers' or what ever their official names may be!

Tom I agree with some of you're comments but I have a slightly different opinion. I have been meaning to get this off my chest and you have given me the opportunity. I believe that in the writing of the games they have a way of monitoring fast progress of the players. GI produce these games for free but inevitablely you will at some time need to spent cash to continue. ie land expansions. With this last glitch, bug by accumatling greenies we now, me certainly, will not need to buy anymore. This is not in GI's interest. By blocking the games and asking people to delete and reinstall puts GI in the driving seat where we may need to purchase again. Their customers service is very poor and is working in their favour and they will not give in, only in the odd occasion Az1. For the rest of us they see us as cheaters, yes if you read theT&C there is a note about taking advantage of programming bugs. I do believe there are some errors of GI's making but they don't have the time or the inclination to resolve them. In the end they are a business trying to make money and unfortunately for us it's about costs. I believe that in the writing of the games they have a way of monitoring fast progress of the players. GI produce these games for free but inevitablely you will at some time need to spent cash to continue. ie land expansions. Tom & Neil just my two cents but I think you both have good points. This gifting issue came out of the blue on or about June 26th. It was right after an update but not exactly. Why do I sat that. Well not everyone updates immediately. So it would be grat if those affected could pinpoint when they updated. For my neighbors, and you know who I'm talking about I bet you all updated around the 26th. Next some players have started NEW games and they work for a bit and than BAM they can't gift. The fact that we soldier on and keep at it in spite of all the challenges only proves our determination to play the game, complete the quests and earn the rewards. If we can make it through The Great Username Debacle of 2012, we can make it through anything. Personally, I'm going to keep playing no matter what.
