Rules for neighbour launches

Just got caught out today. Started a red launch, building points up. Then suddenly a “neighbour” bounced in 1900 points to steal first spot. He is now an ex-neighbour. (Also not a forum member).

I have heard about the 576 point rule but don’t understand it. So what general rules are adopted by space launch veterans?

Yeah...but everyone still rules septillion seem to differ a bit...I think it depends on who you launch with....if you read throughout that thread there can be much variation.

Add 576 points from start when you start the launch and wait couple of minutes for others to join.
576 points means that you want and you will take first place but depending on how many players will join you will have to add more points.
574 points means that first place is open for everyone.
When 3 players with QL active join your launch try to close your launch to take advantage of the QL. (Fast return)
