Rotating beacon for airport

All airports need a rotating beacon that will turn and light up like all real airports have - just make sure you get the right colors for an airplane land airport. It would make a great addition to the airport side and I would even spend 5 greenies on one if it was nice enough - if it would drop a PEB every 12 hours, I would even go as high as 25 greenies on one.

In the United States, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has established the following rules for airport beacons:

Flashing rates

1. 24 to 30 per minute for beacons marking airports, landmarks, and points on Federal airways
2. 30 to 45 per minute for beacons marking heliports

Color combinations

1. White and Green — Lighted land airport
2. Green alone* — Lighted land airport
3. White and Yellow — Lighted water airport
4. Yellow alone* — Lighted water airport
5. Green, Yellow, and White — Lighted heliport
6. White, White, Green** — Military Airport
7. White, Green, Amber — Hospital and/or Emergency Services Heliport

*Green alone or yellow alone is used only in connection with a white-and-green or white-and-yellow beacon display, respectively.

For a flashing beacon this would need to be animated, and no matter how small this would add to the game size and ram/processing power needed to run the game. The game is already massive so very doubt this would ever happen. If you remember (or know) about the early days, there used to be animations around places like the repair base (you would see a little man walking around), but in order to keep the game lighter these have been taken out.

No more than the power generating windmills or wind turbines. I was not playing back then so I did not know there were other animations than that. Airports still need a rotating beacon to be a real airport . . .
