Queen’s Castle - is it worth buying?

Hi all,

In the past I have joined in the events but never bought the Castle or main property so fat. Is it worth buying and what happens to it after the event finishes? Do the benefits continue to future events or just passengers?

I've never bought such building for events, but looking at the specs of this building I wouldn't bother with it anyways. 70 pax in 6h doesn't seem like a very good deal. The magic keys and event collectibles will not drop after the event (but the building will be valid for next years event though). But I think better event-buildings have been on sale than this one (during other events).

Down the rabbit hole is only my third event and the Queens Castle is the first building I have purchased. I've been disappointed with the drop rate from the building. With that said, I'm wondering if having it increases the drop rate from palnes and other buildings in the event. I already have gotten 6 Indian eggs, 5 Russian eggs, 2 English eggs and am 1 item away from the Spanish egg. Maybe someone that has been playing longer knows if having the castle does in fact increase the drop rate of planes and the other event buildings.

edit: the drop rate of mushrooms seems high also

I have bought such buildings in the past only to find A: they were all 3X3 sizes and yes there was very little contribution from them after the events.
Having spent real money on things in this game over the years, I've come to realize it is the least important thing in life to focus on.

Most of the time, people are just like this. when they begin to be fascinated by something or thing, they think it is very important.
once they get it or finish it, they suddenly find that the thing or thing is not as interesting and charming as at the beginning.

I think you are better off spending money on things like spyglasses (although you can use keys to buy them in the event store and not use real money). There are far better things to spend real money on - like tesla power plants that give tons of electricity in a small amount of space or the powerful oil refinery that increases your max fuel supply

Or land. Once you have bought what you can with coins, £30/$30 on sale, paired with half price land will give you a substantial amount of space with the early expansions.

Exactly - that should have been the first in my list.

There are things in this game that you will NEED greenies for. This particular building isn't worth it - especially when you can get free things in the event store that will improve drop rates

It’s 70pax/6 hour building, combine with radius pax bonuses and it becomes a powerhouse rather quickly! It only drops now in this event. Price and necessity are subjective, of course...

What is the radius bonus for the building? It's not in the description and I can't find it in the wiki

Dan, so far without buying I have got 1000 magic keys and 3 Russian Eggs. Drop rate of knives from guest planes is about 50/50. I supplement them with neighbour visits. I might go for the building just to see what effect it has. Nothing else to spend money on during lockdown!!

Early signs are more mushrooms appear in the city, guest plane drops about the same. Are you flying to Wonderland to pick up any items?

I did in the beginning but stopped. Low drop rate and the items aren't needed to complete the event. I use the Spyglass bonus that can be purchased for keys and the guest plane drop rate is around 90% for knives.

Other boosters boosting the castle. It doesn’t have a boost function itself...
