The ticket I opened spcifically for this bug is still pending to be assigned.  I did add this bug to another ticket I opened earlier in general for the last update, and they acknowledged the issue and said they are working "none stop" to correct this, and closed the ticket.  Same copy and paste answers.  So hope this will be fixed with next update.  What I do now to avoid a force close is to visit all neighbors without returning to my own game, and when I reach the last neighbor, I exit the game from that neighbor's airport, and then open the game later.
