There's a new destination for Giant planes. It's Excavations: Western Europe. A map is required, which will be sold at the Airship Store; or you can buy single map for one greenie. The flight takes six hours and requires 50 fuel and 500 passengers with stars at 20/50/100. It drops Map Chest: Western Europe (seldom).

Alembic: drops from flights to Basel (seldom)

As expected, the Sagrada Familia is 3x3, building time 6 days, max pop with 50. The Notre Dame is the same story, 3x3.
I don't have the room to build them and as it probably needs roads, I don't want to break down a non-road construction....

For those who want to see them, I just finished them. They do NOT need roads....

Has there been a change for these buildings? The first adventure buildings (Pyramide, Stonehenge, Temple, Collosseum, Spinx and Louvre) didn't need roads but the newer ones asked for roads (Odessa Theater, Egeskov Castle, Winter Palace and Moai Statues).I tested it in my city but now also the new ones don't need roads anymore. Can someone test this too and confirm this?

For the past week or so, I've been flying to Excavations: Western Europe to collect maps. After 100 flights, I have 28 drops, with the help of Dice. The maps break out pretty evenly:
Strasbourg: 7
Basel: 5
Montpelier: 4
Zaragoza: 7
Saltzburg: 5
Tomorrow I start flying to either Strasbourg or Zaragoza to get stars and, hopefully, Sagradia Familia.
Cheers,
Tom

When they first introduced the second series of Excavations maps the buildings needed roads.

That changed a few updates ago. None of these buildings should now need roads.

Today I flew to Zaragoza, landed 22 planes using a Family Ticket, a Vintage Weathervane and a Secret Faucet from my Warehouse. Got nine Liquid Gold drops buying a Golden Dice from the Store.
Tomorrow on to Strasbourg and the elusive Transmutation Handbook (hopefully authored by Professor Minerva McGonagall)!
Cheers,
Tom
