I don't think you're going to find many facebook players on this forum. The majority of us play on windows 10 (not facebook), android and IOS, and we cannot interact with a facebook game.

You could read through this section of the forum and see if there is any activity there.

Or - you could start a mobile game (windows, android or IOS), and you would get many, many neighbors and advance rapidly!

Just noticed this on my facebook game you can now have 10 buildings of anything except airport buildings.
