Men of Steel Challenge

Has anyone even attempted this challenge over the last 6 days?
I tried to do it but found my plane grounded for repairs more than it was in the air.
Maybe if I were rich and could afford to spend money on greenies, and at 2 greenies per every two flights to fix.............. well that is an impossibility. A rip off challenge really.
Making the players have to purchase greenies, to put a plane back on the tarmac, is in my opinion taking advantage of the players.
As for the gold and silver tokens purchases, that too is taking advantage.
Most of us, if not all, especially those I know who play on the Windows platform, have climbed up slowly through the ranks/levels to get to level 50. And My giant S2 plane as well as my soon to be 3 grand hotels, are proof that I earned it.
I can understand buying greenies for certain items, such as when lol Mr. Crooker comes to town.
But certainly give credit to those who earned their wings the honest way.

I don't believe most player tried this challenge as the laundry was only introducted in the last update.
Laundry is necessary to unlock the levels required for the man of steel quest. Then you need to buy several giant planes.
Only players with a large number of coins could afford to do this.
Those who recently reached level fifty without spending a large amount of greenies or using specialized buildings will not be able to do this challenge.
I did not even try to do this as I have other priorities with the current quests.

I'm trying to complete it. 2 items left (one from toronto and one from tortuga). Playing with 2 planes, but not lifting other too much as i'm using fuel generated regularly to speed up the plain. Drop rate is surprisingly decent. I didn't have much coins as I spent all for planetarium task, but i'm able to generate 40000 - 50000 coins per day. Also didn't spend any greenies for the task. Since update I was gathering gifts for laundry and managed to build 2.

Managed to complete the event. It took me 17 flights to Oslo, 27, to Toronto and 30 to Tortuga. Reward is Gym (210 coins every 2 days and +20 residents upper limit). Not sure if it was worth it but didn't spend any greenies.
