I was wondering if there were any tips on how to become self sufficient in green launches

I wouldn't try and become self sufficient really. Best advice is to build a network. You want a network of friends who have lots of space launches and training centres, and planetariums and when you visit use all your clicks on those. That will build launch items. You also want neighbours who have green launches, and maybe not blue or red yet so you can launch with them. I aim to always have a launch going. Whenever I go to prepare for a launch, at least one of my neighbours has one going that I can join. There is also the launch thread on here that tells you who is flying - if there are regular green launchers in that thread, send them a conversation (envlope symbol at the top of this page) and send a friend invite via the game. Without the conversation, they probably wont accept your invite. You will then have a good network.

So, bottom line - lots of good neighbours, use this forum. Visit neigbours with space things, that will mean you can launch solo or with friends, and send invites to people who do green launches. That network, whether you launch with them or not will help you collect the things you need.

We all play differently, so you will get other thoughts and suggestion on here - try them all!!!!!
