It depends. Major difference is Dice vs Golden Dice. And 2 purple maps (places 21 to 50) instead of 3 (places 2 to 20)
Golden Dice used to be a valuable asset. But with the bonus changes, its value nowadays is not that high.
I'd say that being 5-10 or 5-20 is pretty much the same. Below that you lose a purple map, and that can make a difference for some players.
