On a lighter note note, I have to wonder how many of us love to travel or do it for a living?

I'm from Georgia, (originally Michigan) USA and had a thirst of new places from an early age. Every Sunday, Dad would point the station wagon (after church) and see where we'd end up. Cider Mills, waterfalls, State Parks, Amusement Parks, we'd always find something new and fun. Vacations for my family of 7 ranged from the Smokey Mnts to Florida.

My first real job was AAA travel, and started with Hawaii at age 18. From there; Bermuda cruise, Las Vegas, Montreal, Quebec, Cancun & Aruba. Then (as a cross country trucker) every state but 2, Alaska & New Hampshire. Highlights were Disney World, Ca., Rocky Mnts and Denver, Yellowstone Natl. Park, and other great vistas of the southwest.
With my partner, we did Europe. A week in Paris, 10 days Driving and getting lost in England and Scotland. 2 weeks in Spain by tour bus (thank goodness), I loved Seville, Alhambra, sherry tasting and the white hill towns. Then the last trip featuring Vienna, Budapest, a cruise down the Danube and the beautiful city of Prague before I lost my mate.

...and now I'm an old lady and can only dream...so tell me what you saw and experienced...

Mia, we must have crossed paths a few times.

My first big trip was after graduation, 30 days of Europe + UK (including Scotland).

Then while I was studying for my graduate degree in the USA, I took a road trip of Seattle -Portland - SF - LA - San Diego.
Followed by Amtrak trip of Seattle - SF - Las Vegas - Denver. Another road trip - Houston, Corpus Christi , Austin, then another road trip of NY - Philly - DC - Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal and also Manchester, New Hampshire (only because my next destination is Manchester, UK for an exchange program). My final trip in the USA was Alaska.

Worked for a few years, then I was sent to work in Denmark for 6 months. Visited West & East Germany (in winter, bbrrrr....)
Worked a few more years, then went to China a few times with my parents, Jiuzhaigou was fabulous, Huangshan was amazing, and Yellow river boat trip was epic.

Skuba diving in Manado.
Visited sister in Perth, Australia and then Sydney (great city, so much like Seattle).
Angkor Wat, Cambodia that was an eye opener!

2 more places I want to go - Pyramids of Egypt and Machu Pichu of Peru ( I wonder when?).

I also love yo travel. I flew to the Carribean 6 times in a span of 18 months!

Three times in Cuba (Varadero, Cienfuegos and Holguin), twice to Dominican Republic (Sosua and Puerto Plata). But my best one to date is a trip to St-Maarten and a unique opportunity to see planes land and take-off from Maho Beach. I saw a KLM 747 landing.

I also dream to fly to every continent and my next one will certainly be somewhere in Europe or North Africa.
