How is it possible to reach 55000+ magic keys at the current event? You have to play 24/7 and you need TONS of fuel! I have 21500 right now and I as many guest planes as I can and I flew 600 times to Wonderland, causing that I burnt 6.735 units of fuel at one day.
Im not even close to the platinum league. How is this possible?

Don’t forget the “regular” destinations that also give keys.
Anyway, why bother? Let them spend all that fuel, keep yours. Titanium league, with 3 steel chests a day is a nice place to be (I’m lower than that btw. Started at titanium, now I’m only silver)

Starting the event with 6 of each building helps. Flying only destinations that give keys also helps. Using spyglass so almost every guest plane drops a pocket knife so you can collect 3 keys from mushrooms every minute ...

I'm at about the same level as you - although you have more stars. I didn't have buildings from previous years and I'm at about 42,000 keys. I do land a lot of guest planes though. I can see someone who has buildings from previous events having 55K.

Thank you guys for the quick replies! For an average player, I think it’s nearly impossible to reach platinum league if you don’t play the entire day.

That’s kinda the point isn’t it?
There are only 100 places there, the top 100 players in the event. By definition that won’t be the average player.
There will be hundreds of thousands of daily players, if not more, so it will be a challenge. You can do it if you want, you just need to do the math (to work out the most effective way of getting there), and spend pretty much all of your time nursing the game.
The reward isn’t really worth it though.
