Windows Game transfer

Has anyone had trouble transfering ac game from one computer to another computer,using the back up files?

The opposite - I have experience of the back ups for windows working perfectly - on 3 occasions this year, no problem.

No, problems but from some of the posts here I understand that GI may be blocking restores that do not use their restore feature.

Maybe I have just been lucky and they haven't noticed me yet LOL! - each time has been out of necessity!

Make a backup and don't open your game again on that computer. Not had any problems transferring games over to a new device

the game is linked to your goiogle account not to a computer. It does not matter if you use that computer or a different one. GI will know because it will not match the time stamp oin their server from the last saved game.

Done this dozens of times without any problems.
The only thing to worry about is using the same game on both machines - hence the warning not to open the game on the old computer before transferring.

Windows users don't need a google account to install or transfer from Windows to Windows.

i know that but GI has tighten up their restore function to the point where a tag in the game identifies the computer, google account and version last saved. Any change could mean that you can be accused of time travailing.
