Fuel gifting question

i always gift 20 fuel and mostly get 20 fuel back. But why do some people only have the option to,gift back 10 passengers rather than 20 fuel? I tend to only gift to level 30 or higher to minimise this but it still happens

It's a setting that kicks in at level 10. You can actually tell if it's going to happen by around level5 but most don't know until they've put too much work in.not everyone can gift F20. That particular gift slot is occupied by F20 or P10 ( maybe one other option??) so the only straight swap for your fuel is their P10. Similarly, if they send you P10, you can normally expect that they're hoping you'll return F20. A bit rough but that's the programming.

Or you can be a little sympathetic knowing that most in that situation are gutted and will go out of their way to send you whatever they can as a thank you for not being selfish. There's a lot more to the game than fuel. A good gifter that communicates and understands your needs is worth their weight in ... well, fuel, I suppose

Unfortunately as stated some players do not have F20 in their game. I would say however,
unless you have literally done every destination you will need much more than fuel in the long
run. Most of these items can be obtained through flying but will take exponentially longer to acquire.
My personal suggestion would be to get neighbors from this site which will enable you to communicate
your needs. Fill out a signature like you see most of us have with your current and future needs. For
F20 you can keep those that are actively gifting it daily. You could also start a secondary account that
you could play to level 10 ensuring it has F20 as a giftable item then start an exchange with other players.
It only takes a couple minutes to sign into that game and send out F20 and you will receive the same in kind.
Doing this you will easily be able to stockpile F20 for your needs.

It doesn't make any sense. Level 10 can send the Fuel20/pax10, there is nothing else in consideration.
Damn. So the only real solution is to keep a note of who can gift fuel back and make sure that I only gift to them moving forward?
No, the only real solution is to communicate with other players what you need. Start by setting up your signature. Sending Fuel20 just because YOU want Fuel20 doesn't make any sense at all. People will stop trading with you if you keep doing that.

You send them what THEY need, they send you what YOU need. Those are different things.

If you really need fuel that much, set up a support account and participate in a fuel exchange ring. That's 20xFuel20 on top on regular gifts. But this need is temporary, you'll eventually come to a place where items like Wireless Compass or Earplugs will be limiting you much more than fuel.

You mean a signature on here? How do I know if people I have as neighbours are on here?

You can start with posting on the trading threads, letting people know you're out there with a sig and willing to trade. Even if it is solely to get fuel 20.

You can ask if people here know some of your neighbours. We don't bite. :)

Question. Why do you need your old neighbours?
Delete all of them, as they eventually will only annoy you (wrong gifts, hijacked launches...). Start fresh here on the forum, if that's your thing...

I don't have non-forum neighbours and I get between 50 and 60 (!) gifts per day. 99% of those gifts are MY needs...

OK, signature added.

I'll work on deleting neighbours later...

Keep doing blue launches. Find neighbours with 5 planetariums (search that word in here for a huge list) and visit them each day to tap. Lots of coins, lots of experience and more importantly, lots of needed items for launches. Other than that, patience, Grasshopper.

Thanks, on it now.

I currently send 4 flights to Baikanour 3-4 times a day and then just hit up neighbours space buildings for the docking hatch when I need it.

Is there anyway of getting more power explosive bolts? I am lucky to get one a week.
