Five Islands Quest

In an effort to obtain the Iceland Crest with an Eagle flying to Iceland, after 3 days flying 3 Eagles, it is nowhere to be seen.
I must have used speed up a dozen times also, so many many flights.
I have plenty of the other requirements, but this crest is damn tough to get!

I've also been visiting Stone Castles for the same duration, and visited over 200, still no luck.
Obviously I am NOT using any bonuses as I am after the Spy Glass as I only have 2. Seems silly to use a bonus when one if after a bonus!

So, considering it is so hard to get, perhaps I should rethink my efforts, forget the above, and grab the Spy Glass by other means?
Perhaps through events, which I normally ignore.

Any advice would be appreciated.

The Spyglass is much-coveted and hard to obtain. I get most of mine by completing the quest gift line to Level 39 at least, adventure bldgs which drop Iceland crests occasionally, and the sales that GI hold just a few times a year. Flights to Iceland will drop very infrequently.

Events are one of the best ways to get Spy Glass and other bonuses. Almost every event offers it around level 39, often another if purchase premium class. Adventure buildings help too if have plenty.

So ultimately the answer depends on how you play and how you develop your city.

The lowest one for me is Canary Islands so I might send several hawks to canary islands while I've got all bonuses active for map runs

Thanks Caz, appreciate it. In terms of Adventure buildings, I assume it's just random, doesn't matter which ones, right? Currently I only have 6 x Colosseum, 6 x Aztecs and 6 x Alien Legacy. Will work on more once I get more land.

Alien legacy are not adventure, they give you items for greens launch preps 😉
but I guess all the others are just random

This game has a tendency to know and feel exactly what you think and want the most then, then it makes it that 1 item more elusive...

Try to out think and/or out smart it by thinking of something while looking for another; basically fool the game into thinking that you are actually thinking of filled candies while you are looking for the crest

My advice:
Click or tap without expecting anything for a prolonged period (2 weeks ain't enough).
