Green Launch First one

I've started my first ever green launch.
I would like 1st if you don't mind
It might take a while to complete

I'm in with you. You take 1st it's your launch, I'm happy with 2nd or 3rd. I will throw in as many points as possible, through out the day. Later I have to go to my sons baseball game so I will be out of pocket for about 6 hours, but I will be back and toss some more points into the launch.

Deleting doesn't prevent people from joining your launch. It prevents you from joining their launch. You will still be on their neighbor list and they will see your launches.

@GiftXchange is a good neighbor. Can you provide some details as to what happened? Did GiftX put more than 800 pts into the green launch (1/2 of 1600)? If so, that would be a hijack. What sometimes happens is that a person joins a launch knows they will not be able to login again before the launch expires so they put say 400-600pts in the launch to help. The originator is slowly adding fuel and before the originator exceeds the joiner other people also join the launch and each add 200-300 and now there is not enough points left for the originator to exceed the 400-600pts.

The best rule is to add > 1/2 launch required points quickly (2 Powerful Explosive bolts, 1 Main Stabilizer gives you 840 points and can be added in 20sec).

looks like I won't be starting any green launches soon until I can add over 800 points right away.

I probably have said it before and will again. I have to agree with WhatHappenedNow.
No matter what the launch is, Red, Green or Blue, I always try if I'm initiating the launch to put in greater than half; ie., 800+ on a green, 1000+ on a blue, and 1500+ on a red. However take note, the more you have in that is greater than half, the harder it is for someone to hijack the flight. If you have for example 1600 in on a red, and although it is wasteful; the 2nd and only other person on the team has 1300, and drops the bomb, by throwing in a PEB, well of course you've been hijacked then also.
I know it stinks sometimes for us all. Often I've stayed up til the wee hours of morning, knowing I have to be up at 5AM anyway. I doze off for a few hours, do my morning rituals, meds, coffee, get kid off to school; sit down to check on mission to find I've been trumped, because someone like !FM who many know cheats, has hijacked me.
All I can say is try to have half the points at start of launch, and drop as many as you can before stepping away from desk, keyboard, laptop or whaterever. It only takes a few minutes and someone can drop 3 PEBs knocking you out of first position.

hmmm, to add 900 does seem like they are trying to take 1st place and I can understand why you might be mad. However, they might have known you as a new player and thought you might be struggling with getting your first launch off? I don't know, I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I have to agree that 900 seems like a possible hijack..

Another point however, is some people on this forum (not me) do not see it as "hijacking", they see it like a race. If you sitting on the launch pad with just a few hundred points, then some people think it perfectly acceptable to take the challenge and take 1st place from you.. just different philosophy.

Anyway - has anyone asked @GiftXchange what her intention was? Seems like she should have a say.

No explanation or excuse will be accepted
the act was pretty clear to me.
As a long time player as well as one of my first niehbors, she knew exactly what she was doing and to who.
common courtesy is to allow the launch creator to have 1st place unless that person states they do not care who takes 1st.
my launch had well over 23 hours to go. She just wants to finish top ten in flights again

OK - that does seem rude. But don't stop launching missions or playing less because one instance, there are lots of people who will help positively. And launching is fun.

I agree wkndcmpr.
If I'm on my last few stars needed to obtain my specialist, or masters, and my expert on two out of the 3 color launches, I am one to inform them.
I also am one to inform that first place is up for grabs, If I often as we might do, try and join someone else, and the launch has taken off, leaving us to start a new one, but not enough points to cover half the mission. You, yourself cluck know i have lol given a shout out for help.
And I think that everyone who at least utilizes, the forums here to create a launch, should post that it has taken off. That is just being considerate to others, that they do not get stuck with a launch they cannot handle alone.

I thought someone named Urami was a part of this group, but guess i'm wrong.
I joined him/her on a red launch today and I could have easily hijacked the mission; however I am not disrespectful, noting that the person had more than 1500 into the launch. Even if it was only 1560, hat still doesn't make it right to hijack someone else.

Yes KB - that's how I believe it should be too. But I have read several points of view on this forum and it appears there are some that believe it is okay to do. Adds a challenge for sure.
