iOS Facebook page getting swamped

I checked my Facebook (personal) page to find a string of notifications on all the things I am doing in AC. I hate getting swamped with "game" notifications and tend to unfriend people for doing this to me (no, I really don't care if you "milked your first cow" in FarmVille). Am I right in thinking I need to completely cut the link between Facebook and AC to stop this happening?

You can’t do it on your phone, but you can through a pc. Change the settings on the post so that AC no longer posts to your page.

Actually you can do it within the game, we've introduced that option a couple of months ago.
There're checkmarks in the Settings menu next to social networks. Unchecking them there will stop all posts and your Facebook account will get disconnected. However, your avatar picture from Facebook will dissappear as well that way.
