Hi!

I’m still in pretty early game and I’m uncertain about when I should stop buying expansions with coins and start buying them with greenies?
I don’t get many greenies in (also, if anyone has any good advice on how to earn greenies let me know!), so I guess coins are still my best option. But how many coins would make it out for expansions with the greenies??

Thanks!

You should buy land only with coins as long as you can do it! You will need your greens for the future land expansions and other things so save them as long as you can!
If you decide to buy land with greens wait for the sale!

Buy them with coins for as long as you can, up until expansion 20, at which point you won't have a choice. Fortunately, the price in greenies doesn't increase like coins do, not until you hit something like 80 expansions. If you don't have the greenies, then you don't have them, so coins are all you can do. You're right, though. It becomes difficult because as you earn more coins, your level increases and you start needing those coins for other things, like increasing the size of your runway because you're having to turn away half the guest planes that show up, slowing down your play and making the game really boring.

Here's my advice about greenies: Don't spend them on anything at all except land expansions.

You get one greenie for every level you go up, so that's one way to get them.

Another way to get them is simply by making sure you log into the game every day without skipping days. As you progress towards 25 consecutive days (at which point you win some larger prize like a free building), you get prizes every day. Some days, that prize is greenies.

A third way to get greenies is to continually check the bank. If you hit the green plus sign next to your greenies balance, it takes you to the bank. To the left, there is always a deal and a clock that says how long before that deal expires. When it expires, a new deal appears. Sometimes that deal is to use greenies to buy something at a discounted price, but sometimes, more often that you might think, that deal is to take something for free, and just yesterday, that something free was a greenie. I usually make a few greenies a week just by checking the bank when I know the time has lapsed on the last deal that I saw.

A fourth way to get greenies is to do a Google search for the Weekend Code of the week. Starting on Friday, you can input the code in the box where you can add neighbors, the box where it asks you for a neighbor's code that you want to add. This weekend, the code was *dragon17*. On Friday, by simply inputting that code, asterisks included, I got 3 greenies and either 2,000 or 3,000 coins. It only works once, once a weekend, but that's three greenies. That's almost a third of the way to a land expansion-- which brings me to my last bit of advice.

Never use greenies for land expansions until there's an expansion sale. Every week or two, land expansion is dropped to half price, so instead of an expansion costing 20 greenies, it only costs 10.

Doing all of the above, I accumulated 104 greenies over about a month and half's time, which is how I expanded my territory by 10 squares just this past week. I'd held off because I didn't need the space and I wanted to add a perfect L at at once to my 4 x 4 section, meaning 9 expansions with the 10th one being added to the airport side down below.
