Excavations with the new Update

Hi to all,

With the new Update, it is very hard do the excavations flights to get Sphinx, Ancient Greek Temple etc...

For me, I find that it's almost impossible to get a Sphinx when with the Vintage weathervan we only get 30% speed increase when the maps are active for only 12 hours !!!!! It gonna take me 1 year to get a Sphinx if I run over 7 planes all time !!!!!

For example, with the new update, I did the experience by going to get a Stonehenge garden and it cost me 800 greenies to rent planes to acquire only 1 Stonehenge garden

If somebody has a tip for that, please send me a personal message and I will appreciate it a lot.

I think that with the new update, I wish good luck to all if somebody wants to get 6 Stonehenge gardens, 6 Sphinx, 6 Ancient Greek Temple etc... I hope that in 10 years from now, I will have 6 of each building... or if I win some millions dollars at the lottery, I will be able to spend 50,000 greenies to get it

I hope that we will find a way to get those excavations buildings faster...and if I find something, I will say it to every player that's gonna ask me.

Can't you better invest in dices in combination with fuel catalyst?
And your maps are active 12 hours? I didn't fly them for a while, but ours (IOS and android) were 6 hours

tahnk you for your fuel catalyst suggestion but 1 fuel catalyst les just 30 minutes for just one plane , I will have to chek all time the flight to know when I can put fuel catalyst and I will need 500 to 2000 fuel catalyst it is not producive .but thank you for your answer

Excavation Buildings are tough but not impossible.
In android we have 6 hour map active. And what we do is Collect a large sum of fuel and passengers , then we fly to those destination and while flying to those destinations, we activate a Family ticket, Spy glass, and use of alarm clock(Sometimes).

So if you have Fuel you can make excavation with using 3-4 maps( of one destination)

If you don't have fuel. Start collecting .

And about renting planes.

Some players have cash generating buildings. They also help .
But for persons who do not have that buildings should have a huge bank Balance to make purchase from GI.


Now choice is Yours.

I just shared my experience. You are having trouble with starting excavation .. To me that were easy..
Last ones are very difficult.
Giants planes take a lot of fuel and passengers.

Actualy it is purely math - one flight with giant takes (x) fuel, and 500 passengers, for instant return you need y fuel (for one round flight you need x+y fuel). hypoteticaly we will take that for 6 items from one map you need 50 flights. For 1 item you need total of 25000 passengers and 50*(x+y) fuel (my estimation is around 7500). For all 5 you multiply those numbers with 5. This is approximate amount of fuel and passengers you need to have for one building. I would advise spending 4 greenies for golden dice (and you'll need 2 greenies for instant repair of plane - will happen several times).

Typically, the excavation maps are valid for the same duration as the flights, so this is what I do before activating an excavation map:

• Stock up on Passengers(10) and Fuel Catalysts gifts from neighbours
• Prepare 3 or more planes for the destination, the more the better (up to 12 planes).

I usually fly in the morning when all planes are back in the hangar

• Accumulate fuel by collecting fuel every 10 minutes until you have enough fuel to fly all planes at once
• Accumulate fuel & passengers by landing guest planes
• When everything is ready, activate the map and fly all 3~12 planes in quick succession
• Set your clock timer to remind you when you have to activate the catalysts (to ensure the planes will return before the map expire)
• Collect your passengers regularly, but leave the slower 8 hour, 12 hours, 16 hour, 24 hours building alone (you will need them later)
• When you fuel storage almost hit maximum, speed up the last plane, land it and fly it again
• Repeat every time you have enough fuel
  
• Timer went off! Activate your fuel catalysts (except for last plane)!
• Continue to speed up you planes whenever you have enough fuel
  
• A few minutes before the map is set to expire, your planes would be landing in quick succession. Cross your fingers that they drop what you need.
  
• You can still send the planes off again provided you have enough fuel(20) and passengers(10).
  
• Collect your 8/12/16/24 building now.
• Your planes are now on their 2nd trip using one single map.

Using this method, you can do at 8~24 flights on a single map, depending on the numbers of planes, the amount of fuel(20) and passengers you have. You can combine it with Vintage Weathervane, Secret Faucet to cram in more flighhts, Business Class to generate more coins and the Golden Dice for better drops.

A lot of work, but this is one of the main way to get Gold tokens!

For me, adventure flights are great - I fly with 5-6 planes, collect excess fuel for at least 12hrs, and do a lot of red launches to collect extra fuel. Since I'm still finishing flights up to Delta - no issues really. Giant and Jumbo will require more preparation. But I get minimum of 15 flights per map.

But main issues at excavation maps -maximum of 10 from Duke store and adventure maps that you get from those flights. Still missing around 50-60 maps for Mesoamerica to 3 star it. And have yet to receive first map for one of Mesmerica destinations. Others have already dropped 6+ items and for collection.

I did the ancien egypt excavation with the way you have suggest , just something I did different a little bit , I have decided to put all the bonus and I had take plane location cause I don't want to use a lot of maps for each destination. For each destination I had sent 150 planes app. to get 36 items of each destination ( cause I wanted get 6 Sphynx)
It took me 12 hours in a row to obtain what I wanted and cost a lot of greenies( app. 4,000) ( cause I am not patient to do that in 2-3-4 days or months).
It is very hard to do with pc Windows 8.1 and nothing for good bug like in the past .

I did the ancien egypt excavation with the way you have suggest , just something I did different a little bit , I have decided to put all the bonus and I had take plane location cause I don't want to use a lot of maps for each destination. For each destination I had sent 150 planes app. to get 36 items of each destination ( cause I wanted get 6 Sphynx)
It took me 12 hours in a row to obtain what I wanted and cost a lot of greenies( app. 4,000) ( cause I am not patient to do that in 2-3-4 days or months).
It is very hard to do with pc Windows 8.1 and nothing for good bug like in the past .
Thank you to Bali Ali, Sambhav and the others players for all those suggestions that you gave me

Rocky, you are making a lot of progress in a short time. I hope you have Casino / Bank / Mint to replace all those greenies .

There is still a lot more Excavation (Moai Statues, Sagrada Familia etc), so don't use up everything so early on. The ultimate building to get is Luna Park (gives extra 100 population), but you need to do Red Launches, do the Edge of Tomorrow 16.5 hr maps to 5 destinations.
