Dragon Rising is the next event so here are the real life buildings the event buildings are based on

The Chinese Shop is based on the corner watch towers in the forbidden city.

The Puppet Theatre is based on the Taipei National Concert Hall in Taiwan. This was designed by Yang Cho-cheng. The concert hall is co-located with the National Theatre and both can be found in Liberty Square. They were completed in 1987.

The Dragon Gate matches the gate at Fuk Tek Kung Temple in Sabah Malaysia

And the Emperor's Tower is based on the Yellow Crane Tower. In Feng Shui, the 7 layer pagoda represents the 7 treasures of Buddhism.

@Chloe11111 Nicely done. My wife and I really enjoy learning about these buildings and the places where they are built. We both love learning new things, so this game has been a source of learning about different places (buildings, planes and cultures) around the world.

These are just ancient buildings left over from history. In fact, there are many modern buildings in China now,
especially in some big cities such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chongqing.

especially in some big cities such as Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Chongqing.

As a Canadian with absolutely no ancient buildings, I'm fascinated by ancient buildings. I also love a lot of the new buildings in AC.

Somebody once asked me (at a poker table in vegas) if I knew the difference between a person from the UK and North America. I answered no and they replied “A person from North America thinks 1000 years is a long time, and a person from the UK thinks a 1000 miles is a long way” So true on my part at least from a UK perspective.

I keep joking that in Canada, a 4 hour drive for groceries is the norm. In the town I grew up in (one of the earlier ones in Canada), the oldest building goes back to the early 1800s

I am shocked by the Mayan culture, and those buildings are simply amazing and incredible
(of course, there are no buildings that belittle other ancient civilizations and some countries and regions with relatively short history).
I'll see those buildings later. There are many things these two days. I'm going crazy.

I can understand your point of view. But when I look at these buildings, I see beauty and it reminds me of the amazing craftsmanship in China centuries before the rest of the world. Today, people are still trying to copy the amazing wood-working techniques and some of the secrets are lost. These buildings have stood the test of time - some of them more than 1000 years old. In the meantime, there are 50 year old buildings that are crumbling in North America and there is little worthy of trying to save. I think we value your ancient history (not just China but any civilization that goes back so far) because we have so little of it. I am in awe every time I stand in a building that was built in 1000AD - not something that is possible anywhere in Canada.

At the same time, the rest of the world can learn a lot from the modern architecture in China too. This "real life buildings" project has been a great learning experience for me.
