Windows Backing up Win 10 game

I know we used to be able to back up our game from the C drive User folders and then App Data and then Packages if I recall.
Is it true this is no longer an option and G.I. needs to restore your game? I think it was G.I. who told me this last month when I previously lost my game.
I fear my loss of the game this week may not be restored before Christmas.
I miss my neighbours

Did you try to restore game from the backup LocaleState ? if not go try it

No I couldn't because I had to reinstall windows due to a conflict that didn't allow access to the drives.
However, in future I shall try this method again.
