Avatars appearing in my city

I get avatars (only from 1 neighbor) appearing on buildings, etc. There are always 5 so it appears to be from a visit. But, I don't see any others. Is there an explanation for this?

My guess is, either (1) you have no neighbors who visit, or (2) they are clicking on UFO debris and you get nothing.

Anyone else have a guess?

Neighbours are visiting and tapping on your buildings. And as Jenn said, others may be visiting as well but are tapping ufo debris so you don't see it

Then my guess is you have only one person visiting you

No big deal, just curious. I do give and take gifts to/from all my neighbors (2 of which are non-forum members as far as I can tell). Couldn't find them with a search of members. So far no harm, no foul.

When your city builds up more, people will visit. It takes time - and depending on the need, people will visit different neighbours. While going through this event, I was looking for cities with movie theaters so I wasn't visiting my normal neighbours.

You can visit and as long as you don't tap on a building, it doesn't take away from the number of neighbours you can visit. But once you tap on one thing - that counts as one visit. Especially when you are trying to complete tasks, look around the city before you tap

So if a neighbor visits and only taps event debris outside the city, you get nothing? I was afraid that might be the case, but I was hoping maybe it would be a silent reward like a single event-related gift.

I've also noticed that I get some neighbor rewards on places I wouldn't expect to see them - parking lots, airplane stands, small residentials, etc. But I guess some folks are looking for specific items that only drop from those locations, so maybe it's not all that weird. I was just curious whether that's where event-related neighbor taps might appear.
