Some hints and tips for Airport City. If you have any tips you want to share, post in this thread and i'll add them to this first post.

1) When carrying out a Red Launch combine it with Sky Captain bonus and the Business Class bonus. Then, for 1st place, you will receive around 140.000 coins, for 2nd and 3rd 72.000 coins, and for 4rd and 5th 28.800 coin

2) When visiting neighbours Planetariums, its worthwhile activating the Gold Dice bonus, as this will substantially increase the amount of items that drop.

I think everyone will be knowing this that apply dice or golden dice during visit on planetariums. I used to get around 18-20 launch ready normally but when I used this bonus i got 34 launch ready by touching 50 planetariums.

but i want to know whether combining Sky Captain bonus and the Business Class bonus during green and blue launch affects my coins or not.

I think work only with red lounchs. Visit planetarium is same to use golden o normal dice ? Golden dice you can have only in the Shop. ..

The tips are nice, but useless for beginning games.
1. when you reach level 30, you have to spend 700.000 coins before you can do your first red launch (100.000 for runway, 400.000 mc3, 200.00 platform) this takes some effort.
2. for the sky-captain you need at least 5 different planes before you can get one. this also means upgrading repairhall and upgrading terminal so you can fly them, also costs coins

for hint number two, if you are ios, greenies are not waisted on dices as long as you don't have a casino, bank or mint. they are needed for land.

nice tips, but only for the what older games.

for new games a tip could be: concentrate on preparations for red launches. with business chair the other buildings can be upgraded quickly after launching red

You said it right @flip123 , even my priority was mcc3 , i delayed upgrading anything but after upgrading mcc3 i was able to do almost major ugrades.

Perhaps the most important tip for newbies is to NOT upgrade "Repair Base" and "Fuel Station" before you have collected all items needed (you need to do a little research on required items before upgrading).

• Planes cannot be repaired while "Repair base" is in the upgrading process (bummer).
• Fuel Station stops producing extra fuel while being upgraded (double bummer).

Also, don't waste coins on the Duty Free and Fuel Station level 3 upgrade.

Edit: Don't waste coins on Baggage Hall either (as Flip123 mentioned below). Not sure at what level this one appears for new player.

What about bagagehall, I build it so I got the subquest about the dinosaur.... Which I will not finish for a long time so droprates stay high....

Not always, but with the dinosaures subquest it makes a different....

That's what i was thinking because if there is mission to upgrade town hall or any building, items required for that building can be obtained easily but in reality it is very difficult to get items from flights especially of fuel station.

Tip
If you have patience, pretty much everything in the game can be obtained without spending any real money. All building upgrades can be achieved in three ways: either through neighbor gifts, flight drops or spending real money. (The whole rationale behind "freemium" games is the game companies know that people are basically impatient; they will spend real money to speed things up.) I remember when I first started playing I sent over 200 flights to a destination before the item I needed finally dropped. I could have spent two greenies to get it but I figured I had the time so why not just go for it. Patience or money: it's your choice.
Trick
Don't spend coins on a Town Hall upgrade until you have enough coins to do that plus buy buildings. Once you buy an upgrade and the Town Hall starts building, exit the game and then open it again. Chances are, you'll notice that the maximum population has increased to the upgraded Town Hall number. (If not, wait a few hours then try again!) Buy and place buildings up to the new maximum population. Once the building is complete -- and before you get the items needed to complete the upgrade -- the maximum population will revert back to the lesser number but your actual population will stay at the new maximum. This is a good way to increase your maximum population before the Town Hall is completely finished.
This trick also works with the Terminal upgrade so your maximum passengers will increase until the building is complete and before you get the items needed to complete the upgrade.

Use Golden Dice only and get neighbours with Planetariums - with this my drop rate averages 50.

Tip
If you want to attempt a mapped destination collection, wait until you can afford the maximum number of the designated planes. These maps are very hard to get, and it doesn't make a lot of sense to use a map with only a few planes.
In other words, if you're going after the Roman Holiday Collection to earn a Colosseum, all destinations require Jets. If you have ten Hangars, wait until you can afford ten Jets. Using Fuel Catalysts, you can then land 20 planes on one map ... and your chance of getting item drops are much improved.

I only have 1 turboprop and don't want to sell my jets and giants etc to buy more turboprops and then have to rebuy the bigger planes..

I understand. I didn't want to sell/rebuy any of my planes either. But until GI gives us a warehouse hangar to store our planes in, this is still the best way to earn those collection rewards.
