General AC: How Many Runways Do You Need

Dear Flyboys and Flygirls

For me one runway is all I've ever really needed, since I can only land one plane at a time (there is also the ongoing issues of passengers and fuel). This has been the case since I first started playing the game more than a year ago. As I've progressed through the game and all of the levels I've upgraded the runway, I currently have a level 6 runway (800,000k coins). A second runway, level 5 for example, is the same length as 5 hangers placed side by side.

A runway takes up a considerable amount of land and, as you know, they are not cheap (level 5 runway alone costs 100,000k coins) when your looking to expand and develop your airport city. The key I believe is to maximise your available land. The other option open to players, and the shorter route to land expansion, if you do not have the patience is the bank.

I would be very interested to know what forum members think about this. I'm sure members points of view will differ greatly (there are many methods of game play) and I look forward to reading through said subject matter.

I found out that there is better drop from flights, if i land more planes at the same time. Therefore i have 6 runways, 4 of Level 5, and 2 of Level 6. I am thinking to change and have Level 6 runways only.

Its a really interesting idea. How many levels 6 runways do you plan to have and how are you planning to afford to pay for them? Four level six and five level five I think but I could probably make do with four or five. As said, landing more planes at once helps drops.

You are obviously in a very good place and I'm very pleased for you. Unfortunately, I do not live in that Airport City world at the moment or anytime soon. I'm only half way towards my next goal - 400,000k coins upgrade for MCC3 (I then have to wait four days for the building to appear in its solid form) before I can take part in my first red launch, assuming I will have the resources to do so. The epic saga continues, no light saber to speak of.

i have only one level 6 runway. I'm currently saving coins for more important buildings. Maybe when I build all coins related buildings I'll consider investing in second runway. Coins are still important for wp players.

That was possible few updates ago, and it worked on iOS and android.
Yes, 20k coins is max now, but back then, with Sky Captain and Business Clas bonuses you can get 140k, one launch and 1st place.
Just too bad that it's not possible anymore

How can you get 140k coins for 1st place in red launch? 20k is on wp.

depending on the number of QL used flight time is from 2 minutes to 2.5 hours.
each first place using bonus like business class and captain could give approximately 200 % + 200 % increase in coins.

Therefore 1st place launch will give you between 80,000 - 120,000 k per launch over a 6 hour period. depending on the number of people playing and how 1st place is set among launch members each person can get 3 or more first place in a six hour period which can give approximately 300,000 K, second and 3 places appropriately 150,000 K 4 and 5 places approximately $ 75,000 K.

Do not know if it still applies with the latest update and fixes installed.

I was just searching around and found this post of yours. I agree with you. I get by with just one level 5 runway for now. I sold off the older ones to make space like you said. My dad told me to do it this way. I will sell the level 5 in the future to make space for the level 6. Bye...

This weekend, once the code has been released, and I've obtained my 3 green notes and 2,000 coins, I will be in a position to purchase another plot of land. Then place new buildings on said land to increase my income and passengers. The plot of land is small 4x4 squares and fills up quickly, especially when you have many residential buildings sitting in your warehouse waiting to be placed. Land has always been a problem for me and so has the green notes which I've always found hard to come by.

I would suggest you save your green notes for now and purchase your land with coins, since you have that option open to you. I like to have at least 4. The way I play is to land two planes at once (takes only a few seconds while I'm working). When two planes are stacked up again, I land them then send the ready planes off. Helps me work/play at the same time

My android game: Few days ago I sold one Runway L5 and bought L6. So now I have 2x L6 and 1x L5.

On main game situation is still the same: 4x L5 and 2x L6.

It is good to have 2 same runways, on android just makes me nervous when 2 Falcons as guest planes wants to land. It still takes loooong time to refill it, then I need to wait too long to land another. Now I can do it faster, 2 at same time

And still some coins left for future needs...
