If you have much free time to play, you should try this strategy: Build 6 eateries and one building that give you bonus coins (fishing store, optical store,...) in the middle of the 6 eateries like me. It will give you 12 coins every 30s, it means if you play consecutively in 1 hour you will get 1440 coins from the eateries.

I use this strategy. It's also not worth putting anything that gives more than 1% bonus near eateries. 1% increase doubles income from eateries already and 2% will still only double the income. Save the 2% and higher for buildings that generate more income.
