Traveling across time zones disconnected (like on an airplane) and reconnecting used to give a time advantage when traveling east. No disadvantage was seen when traveling west.

So when I visit someone who is doing the space mission (who, ironically, have a real user name), I see their city with a lot of half-built buildings and a lot of green locks.
