No it doesn't make any difference how many runways you have - there are only ever max 2 guest planes waiting to land. You might see neighbours with multiple runways and that is because it is easier when you are landing and sending off your own higher number of planes.

I'm on android and I got that earlier. I turned off my phone, took the battery out, replaced it and turned it on and it was fine.
