Same thing happened to me yes. Go to the GI website and fill out their help form - then they should be able to help you although it might take some time...

Still looking to get my old neighbours back so please add me if you haven't already... Am I the only one whose game freezes when I try to visit neighbours who are on older versions? It used to give me a warning, but with the new Valentine's update it just freezes instead... Need fuel hoses...
