I'm playing on a Galaxy Tab2 Wifi with Jellybean on it and it works perfect. The big difference with, for example, a Galaxy S2 is that you can see 6 quests on the left side and on the Galaxy S2 only 3 and you can see more of your city so less scrolling.

If your device runs on stock rom (the original rom from the manufacturer) then your device is probably not rooted and you can't backup the data from AC. But you already mentioned that. If you upgrade to ICS the right way (I think it's with Samsung Kies) then you should remain all your data and...

I use Titanium Backup to backup Airport City, but that requires a rooted device. Without a rooted device it's impossible to backup your AC.
