I don’t know what happened with yours. But I’m having a problem with gifting too. I sent F20 from my another account to my main, and I didn’t receive any. I assumed that everyone else didn’t receive any from me too.

In the end, the more planes you send, the more possible drops you will get. I manage completing events in my first year playing just by using "bowl of riches (mini spyglass)" and speeding up lots (by lots, I mean A LOT. Not only 10 flights) of Owls flights. The drop will come sooner or later...
