I saw a video on youtube a couple of minutes ago and strangly, that got my attention. The guy is from England (Nottingham as far as I know) and he published a book about mathematics. There he used in the UK version an example to clarify something by using the term trainspotting.
In the US version he chanched it to stamp collecting, since nearly noone in the US would know, what trainspotting means. Strange.
