Android Videos - klondike

Hi,

Has anyone else noticed that the video for klondike game always redirects to play store at very end even though I haven't clicked on it. It only seems to be that one video does it and its a pain to have to get back to airport city from the play store.

I have noticed lots of “tricks” with the free videos including taking you direct to the App Store as the video ends and not just with Klondike (I play on IOS). Other tricks include delaying the exit cross appearing, and making you interact with the game to “try out”.

But it’s ok by me - nothing in life is really free and these videos have become an essential part of my game (I accelerate 6 flights by 30% for free every day). So I just take care not to purchase new games, and just keep watching the same videos over and over.

Current favourite is the “Visit Portugal” video - it’s entertaining, beautiful and very quick. @TeresaLisboa that means those of us in the UK are looking forward to some lovely Portuguese holidays soon ...

Just use your phone's back button if you get redirected to the play store.

i've noticed that some android videos has this "i" button on top right corner next to the cross. when i click to report the video, it is automatically over and i get the reward quicker

You can also click the back button on some before it ends and get the reward. Others it will say you won't get a reward. There is a trading one that takes you to the play store, it's pretty obnoxious, even if it is just a back button click to get back.

I tried to look up the guide lines a while back to see if these things were breaching Google's ad rules, so I could report then, didn't get anywhere and gave up.

I got hooked by the Star Trek one at the start of the year. It's cost me a bloody fortune. Is that a glitch?

Thanks all, i didn't think the ads would be allowed to leave the game unless the ad was clicked on at the end. I've played lots of games with ad videos and this is first time I've encountered an ad opening play store. On my phone with the game running it can be slow to open the play store. But I'll still be watching them as they are essential for progress unless a lot of money is spent!

If you are having issues with the ads, I encourage you to submit a ticket to Gi. I have heard more and more complaints about the ads creating issues with the game play but it seems the devs are not aware of the issue and it is causing further problems. My android game has crashed repeatedly this week due to watching an ad at at the conclusion, instead of returning to the game it closes the app or turns off my phone entirely. Yesterday my account was blocked and I feel these issues might be related, so if ad problems are happening to you, send them a ticket.
