I'm beginning to think my Snow Melting Facilities are BROKEN! They are just not giving up those snow globes. 
One drop yesterday, nothing so far today on my main game, the other 2 games are even worse (if that's possible). Still have 15 1/2 days - maybe it will pick up later.

After a few days with almost no drops, things are slowly changing. Now I have 2-4-2-6-2, so I’m still hoping for the best (I started with just one item from 2016)I'm beginning to think my Snow Melting Facilities are BROKEN! They are just not giving up those snow globes.

I have managed to pick up 4 snow facilities. Totally new event for me. Ive got 1 snow globe collection and am at 0 0 0 0 2 !I'm beginning to think my Snow Melting Facilities are BROKEN! They are just not giving up those snow globes.

I didn’t pick any completed collection except snow melting facilities. Last time I did pick the collections as soon as they were completed and ended up wasting several completed collections

Drop rate is very, very poor. Had some left overs from last time but have not a single collection yet.

Definitely not wrong. For a Christmas event, the rewards are very uninspiring.
It's not really worth the effort in all honestly, but I do enjoy a challenge!
Well, I collected first few days drops from my Snow Melting Facilities with 1:30 Alarm and managed to collect 7 collections (I had quite some items left from 2 years ago but not any full collection) Tuesday before reset.I'm beginning to think my Snow Melting Facilities are BROKEN! They are just not giving up those snow globes.
Last 36hrs however I am still clicking quite frequently but no 8th collection, only 1 or 2 drops... It looks like drops deteriorated since Tuesday (or since I completed the event?!).

Normally if you click on a neighbour's building they get a small gift.
Seems strange that in this season of giving, the event asks you to click on snowdrifts outside the city, so you're giving your neighbour nothing!
Hardly registers as "Help given to neighbours" ...

I might be wrong, but i have a theory that when a neighbor visits a snowbank, the game shows that to the person visited as an airport-side coin building visit.
But maybe i'm wrong, i don't have any support accounts so no way of reading my theory.

Does anyone know if the fuel penalty goes away after you complete the event? I know this happened to the fuel penalty in Age of Ash.

I did the same thing with an igloo and a skating rink. I contacted Gi, hopefully they are able to help. I have not heard back from them yet.
