Pub lunch for today - Salmon en croute with spinach mushroom, steamed baby potato's, mixed green salad with a herb vinaigrette dressing - a very pleasant afternooon. Followed by a walk to the local barbershop - life can be very beautiful.

Late sunday lunch for today - deep fried crispy onion bhajies, popadoms with yogurt and cucumber condiment (mint and garlic), medium spiced lamb rogan josh, vegetable mushroom bhajies, egg fried rice, oven baked naan bread (flavoured with garlic and fresh coriander) and of course beer - enough to feed a family.

What more can a man ask for, except more green notes and more land.

Having had a late Sunday lunch, we had a similar evening tea with buttered scones, grilled Halloumi cheese, black olives and a large pot of English tea.

We went to a place in Bayswater for Dim Sum when we were there in January. It was 2:00 in the middle of the week and we were the only non Asian people in the place. We knew we made a good choice based on that and the food was excellent.

Pub lunch for today - grilled roast beef sandwich (sourdough bread) with a creamy spread made with sauteed garlic, shallots, sour cream and horseradish, a pickle-flavored salad with cucumbers, cabbage, fresh dill (olive oil and lemon juice dressing) and some cider.
