This question was posted in a different thread, but to give it more visibility, I'm posting it here to get more feedback (thank you @LjGibbs @Husam and @Pit1024 for your feedback so far) Question below:

For all the players out there who have a large supply of launch resources (more than 50 PEBs for example), I have two questions in regards to your resources:
1) How were you able to accumulate so many items? How long did you go without launching in order to build your supply?
2) How have you been able to maintain your collection and prevent it from dwindling?

I know about visiting neighbors and having the launch item buildings (I have 6 rocket gardens and 4 alien legacies), therefore accumulating items isn't the real issue. I can easily stop launching for months and build up my stores. The issue is maintaining the stash once you accumulate it. You can blow all your resources in just one QL party if it's a long one. However, there are many players who do launches everyday and have a large supply at their disposal all the same. I just want to know if there is something amiss in terms of ability to accumulate items at a fast enough rate to counter the loss due to daily launches.
Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use all my flights to jiuquan which is why my stars are so low for my level. I also continue to use my 12 visits only on launch item buildings. I have done very few launches other than the launch event and even then used primarily low level launch items and took lower places. If I put up my own launch I take time to add points not using PEB's. As you know I am saving for a big 150 launch QL party but that probably won't happen for a few months yet at my collection rate. I fully expect to exhaust my stores at that point and be back to square one and will use the gold tokens and fuel to fund my next objective. To put it simply, it is just a slow disciplined slog everyday.

Well said Winitall. I would like to be ready for your party, but unless launches with blues go superbly, I probably will miss it. As discussed in the group, we have goals this year.

Launch Ready Blue Chests - Brief Background History
The game of Airport City has undergone many changes, since I first started playing the game almost 4 years ago. As Game Insight issued new updates, they also tighten the screw, across many gaming aspects, including the number of launch ready blue chests you are now able to collect.

In days long gone, I used to be able to earn between 25 and 40 launch ready blues chests in a day (with no bonus), obtained through visiting my 12 neighbours game sites, by clicking on their Planetariums, Training Centres, Launch Pads (Green, Blue and Red) and completing the flight collections.

Within these 25 and 40 chests there were always high valued resource items e.g. Powerful Explosive Bolt's, Main Stabilizer's and Large Fuel Tank's (as well as smaller valued resource items). It was not unusual to collect 3 Powerful Explosive Bolt's, 4 Main Stabilizer's and 6 Large Fuel Tank's in a day plus the small resource items.

This I know to be true, because I used to record and keep daily, weekly and monthly statistical data. This I did for 7 full months during 2016, after which I stopped recording the data, because it consumed much of my time, along with updating my neighbours list of gift items needed.

Across a week my resource items would add up to a very healthy supply, plus the resource items from previous weeks. Because of this, I was able to open multiple standard launch flights and take 1st place. I was also able to join multiple QL launch flights, and take 2nd place. The abundance of daily resource flight items came to and end during 2017, following an update to the game.

Nowadays, I can count the number of launch ready blue chests in a day, on one hand, and the three high valued resource items are now few and far between. Because of this, I've had to change my approach to the space program, and become much smarter, when using what resource items I have.

I'm able to make my resource items last longer and go much further by taking a lower position in a launch e.g. 3rd (2nd and 3rd are similar in rewards but 3rd place saves your resources, if you join at the right time and your luck holds), and taking a lower position with multiple QL launch flights. I have also had to become far more selective with my launch flights, deciding which flights to join and which flights to ignore. The opening of a launch (green, blue, red) and taking first place, is now a rare event, joining other forum members launch flights is more profitable for me, in the long run.

I've also had to learn to fly my fleet of planes much smarter, to destinations which increase my chances of obtaining additional launch ready blue chests e.g. Cape Canaveral, Baikonur, North Observatory, South Observatory, Jiuquan and Plesetsk.

With the issue of the updates, Game Insight slowed down the game and made it much tighter, what was before is long gone and what is now, is the reality of today's game. I've learned to adapt my game play accordingly.

Well said Captain. This further explains the difference in collections between veterans and newer players. Now that I know that it's not a matter of doing anything wrong or missing the boat when it comes to handling resources, I am more open to the current gameplay. That means that even veteran players have to manage their resources or else it will quickly dwindle. A very good feedback; thanks again. @LjGibbs you might want to read what the Captain stated above. I think that may be the golden answer that you seek

Just had a read, this answer's a awful lot thank you Capt. for taking time to explain things for us & Thank you Nav for creating this thread and also being very helpful to me (y)

I also have 6 rocket gardens, 6 space travel monuments, 6 alien legacy, 6 castles, 1 training centre, 1 planetarium, and 2 academies which also give drops each day. Add to that I constantly have two flights two jiquan and 2 to plesetsk which all add to launch boxes.
I get plenty of launch boxes. The problem is 90% of them contain crap.
