What is the protocol for the following situations:

1) I started a Green Launch and noticed that one of my non-forum neighbours already had a launch going. With only 6 hours left there was only 232 points contributed. Is this person hoping for someone to join and finish the launch thereby taking first place?

2) Today I did another Green Launch and at the last minute one of my non-forum neighbours joined in and launched. They got third place for only 12 points. This is the second time they have done this.

3) How do you define a hijacker? I am assuming it is someone that steals first place? Or is it someone like situation #2. I would call that person a Freeloader.

This is my rule also for launches I start.

My one rule If I join a launch, I won't pass the person that started the launch. Only exception is if they ask me too, it's almost expiring and we're not close, or a mistake (clicking before looking).

Those are my rules as well. I've had a number of launches hijacked. I remember those names and am quick to kick those individuals off of future launches.

I don't like hijackers but I do like good neighbors. I tend to do a launch a day and if someone hijacks my launches once in a while but is always gifting, even if its someone I don't visit I tend to keep them. It takes a lot for me to delete a neighbor. That's just me though.

...But please don't hijack me. haha.

Just joined a red launch 5 hours in and with just 248 points on the board. I used most of my items and got the score to over 2000 then the launcher removed me. That sucks.
Hi Rob,

Sometimes on here people cry foul too easily but what you describe above to me is a case of you helping someone out.

I am very careful about joining other people's launches. I only join QL parties of AJ or Mouse (those are great) or where I am quite happy to take last place.

If I want first I always start my own and make sure within a VERY short period of time I am 180 points over halfway so as not to be hijacked. That says it still sometimes happens and those that do are quickly deleted.

Hi
It's bad what you experienced, feel free to add me & join my launches any time, if I have QL active check points first, the first to put 576 takes captain that's the number 1 most important rule, otherwise if you join my launch without QL active and realise that I'm 49.99% or less full for a long time(more than 2 hours), then feel free to take captain, sometimes I launch and leave it almost 50% filled to give other new players a chance to experience a launch (we all started somewhere) I personally know how it feels to fail to launch because of limited resources, I don't want to see gamers going through that experience. So pm / tag me so I know you are from the forum. Feel free to join in anytime I'm on pad

Just had my green launch high jacked after putting in 694 points initially, the guy placed all the remaining points about an hour after me. watch out for Cki air
If you have off-forum neighbours, you need to put in at least half if you don't want to be hijacked. (y)
Maybe he monitored your launch that past hour, who knows!? If you can't contact him, delete...

Personally don't see anything wrong with what you did, I do that with low level neighbours, but will lift them. Obviously I would not do that if they were anywhere near close to half way, but I'm talking sub 12 hours remaining and sub 300 fuel in, as I suspect at that point they cannot lift themselves. Joined a neighbour before that had 0/1600 in and lifted, I'm sure they were greatful!
Long story short if you want a capt seat, start your own unless you're talking to people via forums... don't join other neighbours and try to launch them unless you're not worried about the fuel. Some people don't appreciate a good deed
