Just updated to the latest version of AC.
So far so good.
You are given a new mission where you need to
1) Upgreade to mision control centre 2
2) Build launch pad 2
3) Launch the prometheus spaceship to deliver astronaut mitchell to the moon
I am not sure yet but from the looks of the new collections you may also need items to be able to launch your prometheus. Similar to they way we need to complete 4 collections to launch the rockets.
I really hope this has a better drop rate than the easter mission.
6 days with 6 farmers markets and I ended up 2-0-0-1-0
New collections
Big Brother collection (to complete Orbital telescope)
1)Light Gathering Mirror
2)Spectrometer
3)Wide angle Camera
4)Photometer
5) Solar Collector
These are all items that drop from 2 new flights to North Observatory (destination for Jets) and South Observatory (destination for Deltas)
Also drops from Astronaut Academy and from friends' space travel monument
On completion you get a launch ready item. The picture is the same as the launch ready item you get for the rocket launches, but cant tell if it will give the same items

Juist says collectible item and doesnt tell you where it drops from so i assume it dops when you complete the flights. If you complete this collection 3 times you get a space travel monument

costs 5000 gold, says it drops 204 coins every 48 hours, but when i built it the counter is 24 hours.

also costs 5000 gold and also says 204 coins every 48 hours, but when i built it the counter is 24 hours.
3)Launch Pad 2
You can now build a new launch pad for 10000 gold (no items required to complete). The building is called (Surprise!!!) Launch pad 2 and it is a separate building to the rocket launch pad
4)Mission control centrel Level 2 upgrade
You can also upgrade your mision control centre to level 2 (
To complete the building you need
4 x solar cell
4 x spaceship launch console
4x communication antenna
4x optical system
it says you can get them from your neighbours.

Update 1:
The first new task is given by the mad scientist and he asks you to complete the orbital platform collection by flying to north and south orbitals. I completed this and then i am asked to launch a rocket (the original one, not the new one). Hence you will need both launch pads for this game, and you may want to hold off on launches for now until you complete the collection
Update 2:
These are the tasks that follow:
1)After launching your spacepad, you are asked to visit 8 newspaper buildings (yours or neighbours).
2)This is followed by a task to collect 4 sceientific papers from the aviation museums.
3)Followed by checking the cottages of your neighbours until you find colonel Kurtz.
4)When you find colonel Kurtz, this unlocks a new flight to Tunguska (Jet destination) to get the laser cannon
5)Visit research labs of your neighbours to find one astronomical calculations
6)Send a flight to washington to bring a guidance system
At this stage it now says that i can get spaceship launch consolde from flights to Canary islands, nice, shanghai and berlin. But not sure if its because GI changed it overnight, or because i completed the tasks. Didnt check until now so i'm not sure
