Everybody here is mentioning using bonuses such as SG (spy glass), GD (golden dice) and dice (not mentioning SC) as one can get those bonuses for 10 coins. b
But actually, it is not easy to obtain it at all.
I am a long time active member of a top 20 alliance, flying almost at all times, but currently I have no SG, no GD and 2 dice left.
Buying those bonuses for greenies is not an option, at least not for me.
So... How do you obtain your bonuses?

Some people buy GD with greens. Especially before the bonus revamp. I’m imagining now it will be the same for Spy Glass.

That’s the thing right? If you don’t want to spend, you’ll take much much longer to get what you want.

So most of the players are actually buying that bonuses with greenies.. Hmmm... Interesting...🤔

To be honest, most of mine have been accumulated over years of playing. Before the bonus revamp, I never used SC, SG or G. I would buy GD for 3/4 greens.
Most have come from flight collections and adventure buildings, and duke for 8000 coins.
There was also the feature last year were you could buy more than 1 bonus from duke - I spent all of my money on bonuses.
Adventure collections are a key source of sky captains too.

I will still buy GD now if i’m doing a big run, to use less fuel/get more flights.
SG is the one I have least of - now that it can’t be bought from the event store, i’m map flying less so that I need less. If it comes to it, I might fly for the crests. But I don’t want to.

The more Adventure buildings you have the more bonuses you accumulate. Spy Glass, Dice, Vintage Weathervane and Sky Captain collections all drop from Adventure Buildings. I have 6 of each Adventure Building up to the Louvre, so 36 in total and that keeps me in bonuses for my weekly map runs.

GD is harder to come by so I tend not to bother with that until the Adventure sale which reduces the cost from 4 greens to 3.

That's interesting.
My problem is that I'm flying for adventure maps nowadays, but as the drop rates are so low, I need those bonuses now, and not after I have the adventure buildings.

I think (i.e. based on my records flying the aztec legacy collection) the drop rates are as follows;
No bonus, 10%
100%, 20%
300%, 40%
400%, 50%.

So you can work out the fuel difference, vs cost in greens to buy (if you are short). Then decide if it’s worth it for you.
To do it without bonuses/speed ups;
If you can afford the coins the make all 14 planes the same, with no bonuses you’ll need to do ~360 flights to each destination. So send 14 planes 26 times. If you use a fuel cat/VW/video to speed up so you can get 2 flights per map, you need ~13 maps for each destination. So each destination will take around 2 weeks, 10 weeks for 6 of each building.

Its an option for you, and allows you to save fuel and bonuses for other maps later. There are so many ways you can do things, if you aren’t willing to spend/can’t afford to spend, this is a viable option.

I agree with you, but you can make a small map run with about 30-40 flights when you don’t have enough bonus or fuel or pax when you try to run larger plane, it will be better than fly with 14 planes of the same type. It will take a lot of money and time

I was wondering, based on your knowledge....does the drop is being accumulated?
I mean, if (e.g.) I run 14 planes 26 times, or 7 planes 52 times, will the results suppose to be the same/similar?

For me always with speed fuel and adventure or Alliance maps i use GD and i try to complete all fights with one GD but to get Condor S3 i used maybe 5 or 6 GD to complete 2500 flights in 2 days.
I use SC all the time.
SG rare to use it.

On my support accounts I‘m still accumulating bonuses so I run my adventure maps without them, typically 100 flights per map run. It takes more flights of course but Adventure maps are really easy to come by and don’t need any flight items either. I tend to buy 100 of an excavation map, 5 each time the Duke Airship is visiting, then once I have the 100 I run the adventure maps over night until they are all used up and I have however many maps. I then run those maps in a weekly map run, one a week with my two or three planes until I have all six adventure buildings. At the moment on Ancient Rome I’m finding I need three maps per destination. If I run out of maps to a particular destination I just buy more excavation maps from the Duke.

As you progress you”ll need more fuel and passengers for your map runs with the bigger planes and there are plenty of strategies for those. For fuel I go with maxing my neighbours and regular space flights and for passengers I use a magic bonus square.

On my support accounts I’m saving my bonuses for Jumbo adventure flights and higher, the green, blue and red space maps, and the S3 purple alliance maps later in the game.

As a 6 month mid 60’s level it all comes down to planning for me. And planning is just keeping in mind the various sources and tabs on what I am short of (spreadsheet / notes / in head).

For SG prioritizing neighbors with Stone Castle if short of the higher crests or just sending a day of flights (1 or 2 planes) if need Cyprus or Malta etc.

I am mostly self sufficient, for my needs, with SG, getting there on Dice. Sky Captain, I hope to get there as build up initial collections.

And then playing within my means, recognizing I can’t do everything at once (which can be a little frustrating).

SG maybe can come from event, the last event we got one and hope so it will appear in every event. Collecting SG from Five Islands Crests takes much time because I need to fly over 40 times to Iceland to get the Iceland Crests. It can also be collected from Stone Castles in neighbour but I prefer Planetariums to that, it has a really small drop rates, I tried it with my support and it takes me a full-week tapping Stone Castles. So I think we should wait for the event reward or maybe event store in the future for SG. If you don’t have SG now, don’t mind it, full set of drop rates should be better used for S3 map runs because advanture maps are easier to get and you can have many runs with the same destinations to get your goal.

If it’s Swift - Raven, yes 30-40 can be considered Small Run.

I normally run at the very least 100 flights. More if it’s Swift or Owl or Hawk.

Last time I did 500 flights for Swift S3 map.

For 100 hawk flights, you will need 76 fuel for each round. For 100 planes it's 7,600. That's a scaring amount of fuel. A fully working fuel ring will give you 400 fuel per day. So... how it is possible?
