One of the side benefits of the technical problems over Christmas was that the drops, chests etc were proved to be random. You would know that as you may have to open the same chest or land the same plane ten times and each time it could be different. Online or offline, night or day, en-mass or one at a time seemed to make no difference. One time you would get two quest items, the next nothing, over and over.

I like to land planes en-mass as it does feel more rewarding, but I don't for a minute think it has any impact on the overall randomness of it.

As a newbie in airport city I have a question. Whats your strategy for finding launch ready boxes for space fuels? I ended up having many preps but no a single one of the big 3 fuel. From visits to planetariums I get 2-6 launch ready every day. the main question is where to fly to have more possibilities to farm those collections? Cape Canaveral or Baikonur or North/South Observatory or Jiquan taking into consideration and the flight duration of course. Of course from my point of view as I am only level 53 I cant have 7 Jumbos to fly to Jiquan but that's my problem. I had 3-4 turboprops constantly flying to Cape Canaveral last 2 weeks (with no bonus) but the result was a bit disappointing. Shall I change the fleet to Jets to Observatory? I would like your opinion...

Around the clock I fly 2 jumbos to Jiuquan, 2 deltas to South Observatory, 2 TPs to Canaveral. With these I get anything from 0 to 8 boxes.

Speaking of which, today after 55 taps (neighbour's visit) I got... Wait for it, wait for it... 1 launch ready box. Some days it's a grinding slow motion whereas other days I get a good haul.

So you dedicated 2 thirds of your fleet to farm launch boxes and you take around 10 launch ready a day give or take. If i am not wrong the chance to drop a peb is 5% so you need 2 days (20 boxes) for 1 peb. In other words to have fuelfor first place in a red launch you farm more than 1 week 6 planes. Is it worth it? I am asking cause i dedicated 6/7 planes and i have dissapointing results for fuel. And i have so many destinations without even a star. I am confused where to aim... i have to get more hangars i guess. I am now trying to collect coins for runaway 6 and i am half there

Is it worth it? If you look it like that you are actually fighting a loosing battle and the logical answer is no its not worth the effort. However, when I'm farming for launch boxes all I want is launch prep and then the rest is bonus; a PEB is a cherry on top. Do you really need 3 PEBs to start a red launch?

Yes I dedicated 2/3 of my fleet to farming, sometimes it's frustrating like today I only have 1 launch ready box to show for but my goal is to get launch preps, PEBs are a cherry on top, a little incentive. My goal is to participate in as many launches right now I've clocked well over 50 red launches but I've never started my own launch...
What you need to do is set out your game plan, what is it that you want to achieve, how and by when... One of the cardinal mistakes we often make is to aim and actually want to achieve everything at once. My mentors here in this forum threw a word (or three) my direction and that word(s) was strategy and tactics. This takes time to plan, implement and ultimately execute.

If you have very deep pockets take a shot at everything at once, but if your pocket are kinda shallow somethings need to take a back seat for a while while other things are being achieved. As an example, Runway 6 is not even a priority but upgrading my terminal is first option, my coin tally is always around 800k mark but I'm not buying it.

My 2 cents worth of information.

It comes and goes, some days lots, some days not. If it's not today it may be tomorrow. Chill. It's a game, you against the machine. The machine says not today. Not worth getting upset about!

I am not upset at all. I am just searching my game goals.thank you for advice @Teboho and @Madegwen59 . Another question i have is about adventure flights . Is there any good guide for these flights? Am i too low level to start? Do i need to have all my fleet from the same type of airplane to start adventure flights so i can be more productive within a time frame that gives us a certain map? I know that the answer to the last question is yes but is it worth changing all fleet to do adventure flights?

Am i too low level to start?
no
Do i need to have all my fleet from the same type of airplane to start adventure flights so i can be more productive within a time frame that gives us a certain map?
First you need lots of adventure maps (mesoamerica, etc) then fly (1 map 1 flight these are long flights so I fly them when I go to sleep) to get excavation maps (Tollan, machu pichu, etc) these are timed, 6hrs methinks. Then you need lots of fuel and passengers . A while ago I did these and there was a very comprehensive thread dedicated to this task.

Another alternative (mesoamerica) is the speed up but you'll need lots of fuel and passengers and spyglass

With regards to fleet size and drastic changes I'll advice on this: I only used 3 Turboprops.
but is it worth changing all fleet to do adventure flights?
No
